Circumstances occur that transport Voyager and its crew to a portion of space at the edge of the galaxy that is so distant that it would take seventy or eighty years, travelling at warp speed, to get home! Knowing that the galaxy is full of wormholes and folds in space, the Starfleet officers of the U.S.S. Voyager are searching for the quick way home.
